Hello Gorgeous,
Welcome to my realm of the internet! I am forevermore Jacqueline Amara Obi, and I’m thrilled to share my footsteps with you. I answer to both names. I know I am an enigma, but since birth, I have been called Amara. When applying for 5th grade in rural Georgia, the intake secretary couldn’t pronounce “Amara”[uh-MAH-ruh]. I was embarrassed so, in the spur of the moment, I asked my mom to switch it to my english Jacqueline. I was only eight years old!
Music is the soundtrack to my soul. My eclectic taste ranges from the soulful sounds of Tracy Chapman and Onyeka Onwenu to the pop anthems of Mariah Carey and Taylor Swift. Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Fela Kuti, Jess Glynne, and Natasha Bedingfield all hold a special place in my heart. However, Afrobeats has always been my first love, a rhythmic expression of my vibrant heritage.
I have four siblings: June, Rad, Nance, and Mike. Their profound impact on me is immeasurable. My Papa is the greatest hero and greatest strength of my life. My Mom is the best friend of my youth. I love each of you with all my heart. Everything I am today is a testament to our upbringing and childhood and the values we were instilled with: Resilience,Confidence, Fearlessness, Strength, and the unwavering desire to never give up. These values, our family’s “coat of arms,” continue to guide me in all my endeavors. I believe in showing up, a reflection of the strength we learned from each other growing up. Leading me to embrace my lifelong ethos : “I’ve learned that life grants you nothing freely. You must seize your desires, forge your own path, and claim the life you envision. Through discipline, relentless effort, and faith, you possess the power to achieve anything.” Because of this I know the truth. “The truth is, life doesn’t hand you your dreams. You ignite them. You fuel them with your own relentless drive. You are the architect of your destiny. With disciplined action, dedicated work, and unshakable belief, you become unstoppable.”
I’ve embraced the enigma within me, recognizing that this unique path has forged me into a formidable and multicultural woman. I speak English and French fluently, and I can understand and speak conversational Spanish and Igbo. I am also currently learning Italian. Discipline is my guiding star, a core value that fuels my pursuit of goals and purpose. Through consistent effort and dedication, I’ve achieved many milestones, proving that discipline is the cornerstone of success.
My hobbies reflect my values of discipline and self-improvement. Running keeps me grounded and focused. Hiking is my ultimate escape. I’ve traversed over 130 trails across Georgia, Tennessee, Colorado, Missouri, and Oregon. I find solace in the rhythm of writing while my culinary pursuits allow me to express my creativity and connect with my inner self. Fashion design is a form of self-expression that allows me to embrace my individuality.
My passions lie in creative endeavors that leave a positive impact on the world. Whether it’s exploring the world of business development or nurturing young minds as a catechist for six years, I find joy in empowering others. I firmly believe that “together a community in unity, our differences unite us.”
The last decade has been a whirlwind of experiences, a testament to the fact that life is meant to be lived. While I faced a significant loss on the second to last day of 2018 – the passing of my childhood coach, a mentor who championed me and lifted me higher, a father figure in every way – I retreated from social media to heal.
Now, in 2025, I’m slowly but surely returning, and this website marks the beginning of a new chapter. I’m so glad you’re here. I hope you’ll stay awhile, darling. Find me on LinkedIn where I am building autonomous Ai Agents and launching my passion So Lively.
Cheers to being vivacious and ready to embrace the next decade!
Your’s Truly,
Jacqueline Amara Obi
